Tanşıl Kılıç

Tanşıl Kılıç was born in 1978 in Kanlıca, Istanbul. She studied communications and, while working in marketing, also volunteered for various children’s projects with non-profit organizations and began writing stories. She has published several children’s books, including Şanslı Kedi Patikare (Lucky Cat Patikare), Küçük Deve Kaşmira (Little Camel Kashmira), and, with Can Çocuk, Şekerli Sinek (Sugary Fly), Şekerli Sinek Mavi Orman Yolunda (Sugary Fly on the Path of the Blue Forest), and Bir Salıncak Macerası (A Swing Adventure).

She continues to write stories that encourage children to see themselves as part of nature, the universe, and life itself, growing up with joy, love, and respect for all living beings. She lives in Brussels with her husband, son, and cat.
